I very like the coins of the Scandinavian countries. One of darlings of my directions of numismatics are the Swedish coins, in particular silver coins by dignity 2 kronor. I am attracted by their elegant design and whimsicality of details. And that is why I am glad to present my modest collection of the silver Swedish coins of the indicated dignity to your attention.

Very cool stuff, I always enjoy seeing items from your collection! I have some Swedish coins of my own to share, but the photos need editing, and I am too tired today, maybe tomorrow.

Nice photo display and presentation Eugene. Grandfathers parents came from Sweden in the late 1800's so anything "Swedish" is near and dear to me.....:)

Angelo I like that coin ....the fact that it's square is very cool. And the Dutch always use that flower on their coins .I got some dine size coins in Aruba last year at a bar in change and they had the same flower on them. Paddy

yea i saw another one of those coins from one of the dutch colonys, there were a few countrys using that shape, i got an indian issue that is the same shape, and do own one, its sort of, a crossover between art nouveau and art deco, both styles are pleasing to the eye though.
any more countrys coming up?

Son of Gustaf V, was born in 1882. He became the king whe he was a 68-years old man. He was a scientist and very clever man, and popular ruler too.

I don't there to high of mintage in type few year they made them.the 1880 the price drops like a lead balloon! 25 Ore about the same MM as the Us dime.

E my world book has a note by King Oscar coinage 1840-1860 that 50-80% were melted by who it has no remark but that.
